Volunteer

We rely on uniformed volunteers and team members across all sections, to keep running our current weekly meetings and allow our group to grow.

Whether it’s helping out occasionally, running an activity, or managing admin – there’s a role for everyone – parents, carers, friends or neighbours.

Why volunteer?

Scouting makes a difference.

It helps young people develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and independence – skills they’ll carry for life.

It’s fun!

Adults often tell us they get just as much out of it as the young people. From laughing around a campfire to seeing a young person conquer a new challenge, the rewards are huge. And you get to meet and make new friends in your community.

No experience necessary.

Full support, training, and resources are provided. If you’ve got enthusiasm and a little time, that’s all you need to start.

Can you help?

Even an hour here or there can make a big difference.

We’d love to have a chat about how you might be able to get involved, whether that’s:

  • Assisting regularly or from time to time at weekly meetings
  • Helping with outdoor events or camps
  • Sharing a hobby or skill with the young people
  • Helping to keep the hut and grounds in good condition
  • Website, admin and communications

Scouting runs on the energy and dedication of volunteers. Without your support, we can’t continue to deliver a safe, exciting, and enriching program for the young people in our group.

If you’re interested, curious, or just want to chat about the possibilities, please contact us!

Let’s keep the adventure going – together!
